Forms

Plot Request Form

See Bluff Cemetery Map for available plot locations or contact the Cemetery Board at cemetery@townofbluffutah.gov for more information. (Map is not yet available, please call or email for information about available plots)

The Town of Bluff recognizes that due to the historical nature of the cemetery, on occasion it may be discovered that reserved plots are no longer viable. Plot reservation is therefore subject to change based on discovery of existing interment, unyielding strata, interference by neighboring burials, or other means which would require the plot to be removed from availability. If a plot change is required, The Town of Bluff will notify the intended occupant (or their next of kin) to arrange a plot transfer or initiate a refund.

Upon processing this submitted form, a representative of the Bluff Cemetery Board will contact you to confirm the plot(s) location(s) and request payment to finalize the reservation. Please see the Master Fee Schedule for fee information. Payments can be made payable to Town of Bluff.

-Transfer of Burial Right Form (incoming)
–Burial Plot Relocation Form

These forms are only to be completed if there is a need to transfer plot rights or in the event that a previously-purchased plot is found to be untenable due to extenuating circumstances

Cemetery History

The Town of Bluff Cemetery is located on the northwest portion of Cemetery Hill. It was originally planned to include three sections of thirty-two plots each. In 2026 the Town of Bluff purchased the neighboring land from the Southwest Heritage Foundation to expand the burial options, with regards to the underlying bedrock and unmarked burials existing in the original portion of the cemetery. The Cemetery Board is currently creating sections on the new property with the hope of utilization by Spring 2027. If you have an existing burial right in the original cemetery, you will be contacted and offered a replacement in the new sections, once the mapping process is completed.

Hole in the Rock Pioneer Cemetery

Directly adjacent to the town-managed Bluff Cemetery is the Hole in the Rock Foundation Pioneer Cemetery, on the southeast corner of Cemetery Hill. Please contact the HITR Foundation at blufffort@gmail.com for questions about heritage plots or current availability therein. The Pioneer Cemetery was created in 1880 when the Hole in the Rock pioneers settled in Bluff, and the first burial occurred in May of that year.
