SUMMARY:Public Hearing: Community Development Block Grant Potential Projects
DESCRIPTION:Notice is hereby given that Town of Bluff will hold a public hearing on January 13\, 2026 atBluff Community Center\, 190 North 300 East Bluff Utah\, 84512 at 3:30pm. Town of Bluffis eligible to apply to the Utah Department of Workforce Services for funding under theCommunity Development Block Grant (CDBG) Small Cities Program\, a federally fundedprogram administered by the State of Utah\, Housing and Community Development Division(HCD). Town of Bluff is eligible to apply for CDBG funding provided Town of Bluff meets theapplicable program requirements. \n\n\n\nThe purpose of the public hearing is to provide citizens with pertinent information about theCommunity Development Block Grant program and to allow for discussion of possibleapplications. This public hearing will cover eligible activities\, program requirements\, and expectedfunding allocations in the region. The CDBG Program can fund a broad range of activities\,including\, but not limited to: construction of public works and facilities\, e.g.\, water and sewerlines\, fire stations\, acquisition of real property\, and provision of public services such as food banksor homeless shelters. In the event that Town of Bluff chooses to apply for CDBG funding\, a secondpublic hearing will be held at a later time to discuss the project. DESCRIPTION:Town of Bluff is accepting applications for the newly created Bluff Cemetery Board (public notice attached). This three-person board will oversee the management of the north-west section of the Bluff Cemetery\, which recently came under the Town’s jurisdiction. This transition represents an important step toward ensuring the long-term sustainability\, care\, and stewardship of the Bluff Cemetery. The Town extends its sincere appreciation to Ann Leppanen and the many community members whose significant efforts helped make this outcome possible. \n\n\n\nResidents who are interested in serving on the Bluff Cemetery Board are invited to submit a letter of interest and a resume.
